The Trinity Centre for Social Innovation aims to create an open and inviting social learning space and engage with a wide variety of participants to challenge current thinking and co-create new ideas.

Upcoming Events

Hosted by the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI), this series explores contemporary issues in the field of business ethics. Leading scholars and practitioners will present research on a wide range of topics, including ESG, responsible business, values-driven leadership and organisational integrity.

The 2022/2023 series will be hosted online, but we have added two hybrid events: our kick-off on 3 November 2022 with Professor Neil Kellard from the University of Essex Business School, and a practitioner event on 2 March 2023, where Klaus Moosmayer, the Chief Ethics, Risk and Compliance Officer of Novartis will explain how they crowdsourced their code of ethics.

You are invited to an infographic exhibition in the Foyer on Tuesday 29th November 2022 between 2 and 4pm to view the 17 infographics created by our Senior Sophister Social Innovation class (120 students).

If you can drop down for 10 minutes during the two-hour period, the students would be delighted if you would view their work and quiz them on it. Here is the list of the social enterprises profiled in the infographics:

  1. Churchfield Community Trust (2 infographics)
  2. Crann Support Group
  3. Football Cooperative
  4. Mymind
  5. Pace
  6. Secret Street Tours
  7. Shuttleknit
  8. Spraoi agus Sport (2 infographics)
  9. The Homeshare
  10. The Liberties
  11. The Rediscovery Centre / National Centre for the Circular Economy
  12. Vita for Climate Smart Communities (2 infographics)
  13. We Make Good (2 infographics)

We worked in partnership with Sheila Cannon, director of the MBA social enterprise modules, and gave the undergraduate class project reports completed by MBA students on 13 Irish social enterprises. The undergraduates used the reports and other resources they located to complete a social impact analysis.  The infographics communicate that social impact. Do drop in, if only for 5 minutes - it will make the exhibition far better for the students!

Little Heresies is a series of events that provide opportunities for a wide audience to participate in discussing disruptive ideas to tackle societal issues.

The series exposes participants to disruptive ideas on critical societal issues. It challenges the social psychology of society as it is currently constructed. The aim is to “unstick” dominant societal arrangements and focus on how to reorganise institutions in an increasingly complex and uncertain world.
