The following research topics fall under these themes are aligned with College’s strategic plan in the major thematic areas of pharmaceutical nanoscience and technology, immunology and inflammation, cancer research and neuroscience.
As well as involvement in the above programmes, academic staff have active research projects at M.Sc. and Ph.D. level in the traditional pharmacy disciplines: Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Practice of Pharmacy (See www.pharmacy.tcd.ie). Collaborative research is also ongoing with other academic and industry groups, both at national and international levels. In addition, Staff contribute to integrated postgraduate taught courses which are formulated in the context of European and international curriculum strategies (see M.Sc./P.Grad.Dip. in Pharmaceutical Analysis, M.Sc. in Hospital Pharmacy, M.Sc./P.Grad.Dip./P.Grad.Cert. in Community Pharmacy, M.Sc./P.Grad.Dip. in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology, Cardiology in Clinical Pharmacy Practice Module, and M.Sc. in Neuroscience).
