How is the course delivered?

This is a seven-week course divided into seven sessions. Each session is designed to be completed over the course of a week and will comprise several offline learning elements complemented with a one-hour live webinar (evening). The webinar and study material will be accessed via our student learning platform, Blackboard. A detailed timetable will be given to all participants closer to the start date.

Action learning component

From week one, the learning from this course will be reinforced by means of an individual risk-focused industry-based project (organisational case dossier) specific to the participant’s organisation. The participants will submit an outline of their proposed project and will receive feedback and further guidance in the application of each step of the project.

This will enable participants to implement a risk-focused Industry- based project for their own organisation as part of the course, supported and mentored by the expert delivery team throughout the course. It will be introduced in week 1 so participants can start working on it straight away.

Note: This could be an initiative that has been introduced in your organisation, one that is currently being implemented or a hypothetical future one. If you are not currently in a relevant organisation the project can be carried out with reference an organisation, you have knowledge of/access to or a published case study.

Additional participant information

For the best online experience, we recommend the use of Chrome as your default browser, along with a USB (or other) headset with built-in microphone. Each live webinar will last one hour. Outside of this you can also expect to spend a minimum of 3 hours per week on self-directed study.
