School of Education does not currently have any doctoral awards open to continuing students.
New applicants can apply for the Postgraduate Ussher and 1252 studentships via the entry application process.
This Faculty Studentship covers EU and non-EU fees and provides an annual maintenance of €13,000 for three years (paid monthly). It is available to new entrants to the full-time Ph.D. register and is awarded competitively on academic merit by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
There is no separate application form for this award, students must apply online using tcd.ie/courses in conjunction with their application to study with the School of Education.
The deadline is 30th April 2022 for candidates who wish to be considered for the award of a School or Faculty scholarship. A full application including all necessary supplementary documentation is required by the deadline date for the application to be considered by the applications committee. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Studentship holders may be required to engage in teaching-related activities, as advised by the Head of School and/or the School's Director of Teaching and Learning (Postgraduate) to a maximum of 6 hours per week in teaching term.
