International Women’s Day 2022: #Break the Bias

To celebrate International Women's Day 2022, Trinity College Dublin is hosting an online panel discussion on the theme “Break the Bias” on 8th March at 10.30 am via zoom.

This event, organised by the three faculties, is open and free for the general public, Trinity staff and students. As part of this panel session, we will discuss situations in which we experience bias, and approaches to aid in addressing or even overcoming bias, stereotypes and inequality. The panel discussion will focus on biases we all face and we hope to build awareness around Trinity College's efforts to address bias. The work of the Trinity Access Programmes will highlight different and alternative access routes to Trinity College Dublin programmes as we consider the different forms of bias and barriers faced by students, staff and the general public.

Panellists:

  • Dr Jo-Hanna Ivers (Assistant Professor in Public Health and primary care)
  • Dr Philomena (Phil) Mullen (Assistant Professor in Black Studies)
  • Catherine O’Brien (Trinity Access Programmes)
  • Kevin Sullivan (Trinity Access Programmes)
  • Mary Leahy (Head of Employee Relations)
