The TCD Students’ Union Mental Health Week runs from Monday 19 to Thursday 22 November 2007. The main aim of the week is to promote awareness of mental health and the support services which are available on campus to students.
Each day will focus on a different aspect of mental health: Monday: Depression Tuesday: Mental Ill Health (focusing on psychosis, self harm, schizophrenia, etc.) Wednesday: Positive Mental Health Thursday: Eating Disorders
Events of the week include: Monday: Depression Awareness Workshop; Student Counselling Service, at 1pm Wednesday: Free Yoga in Regent House, 1-2pm (DU Yoga Society) Thursday: Relaxation techniques Workshop, Student Counselling Service at 1pm Friday: Free Yoga in Regent House, 2 – 3pm (DU Yoga Society)
There will be information stands in the Arts and Hamilton Buildings and lecture sessions throughout the week. So keep an eye out for the volunteers in the yellow t-shirts!
