21 Feabhra, 2019 – Rinneadh ceiliúradh ar Lá Idirnáisiúnta UNESCO na Máthairtheangacha i gColáiste na Tríonóide, Baile Átha Cliath Déardaoin, an 21 Feabhra. Cuireadh fáilte roimh Ciara Ní Eanacháin (Gaeilge), Sara Margrethe Oskal (Sámi) agus Matyas Le Brun (Briotáinis) le haghaidh oíche filíochta i Seomra na Gaeilge.
Rugadh Sara Margrethe Oskal i dtuaisceart na hIorua agus tógadh í mar chainteoir Sámi i dteaghlach a thógann réinfhianna mar shlí bheatha. Tá a cuid filíochta foilsithe i Sámi, Fraincis agus Briotáinis agus bhronn an Chomhairle Nordach Gradam Litríochta uirthi dá cuid saothair i Sámi.
Is file, ceoltóir agus grianghrafadóir é Matyas Le Brun a d’oibrigh i gcomhar le Sara Margrethe Oskal chun a bailiúchán dánta a fhoilsiú i bhFraincis agus i mBriotáinis. Tá tréimhsí caite aige i measc pobal labhartha Sámi agus taispeántais ghrianghrafadóireachta léirithe aige dá saol.
Is céimí de Choláiste na Tríonóide í Ciara Ní É (Eanacháin) a bhunaigh REIC, imeacht dhátheangach rialta atá bunaithe ar an bhfocal labhartha. Tá sraith físeán maidir leis an nGaeilge dar teideal “What the Focal!?” léirithe aici ar YouTube agus bhain sí amach gradam Oireachtas na Gaeilge d’Fheachtas Meán Sóisialta na Bliana 2018 don haischlib #Nílsécgl.

21 February 2019 – Trinity College Dublin welcomed Ciara Ní Eanacháin (Irish), Sara Margrethe Oskal (Sámi) and Matyas Le Brun (Breton) for a night of poetry in celebration of UNESCO International Mother Language Day on Thursday 21st February in Seomra na Gaeilge.
Sara Margrethe Oskal was born in northern Norway and raised as a Sámi speaker in a family of reindeer herders. Her poetry has been published in Sámi, French and Breton and she was awarded the Nordic Council Literature Prize for her work in the Sámi language.
Matyas Le Brun is a poet, musician and photographer who collaborated with Sara Margrethe Oskal to publish her collection of poems in French and Breton. He has spent periods of time with a community of reindeer herders in the Arctic and has produced photography exhibitions on their lives.
Ciara Ní É is a graduate of Trinity College and founder of the bilingual spoken word night,
REIC. She produces a series of Irish language learning videos named “What the Focal!?” on YouTube and received the Oireachtas na Gaeilge Social Media Campaign of the Year award (Feachtas Meán Sóisialta na Bliana) in 2018 for the hashtag #Nílsécgl.
The event was organised by the Department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies and the Irish Language Office of Trinity College, with help from the university’s Visual & Performing Arts Fund.
