Business-Related Student Societies

Student life as a member of any of the Business School's degree programmes is characterised by involvement in the world of ideas, in searching for understanding about the nature and functioning of organisations and their management, in directed and independent study, in building life-long learning skills and in setting the foundation for a challenging and stimulating career.

There are over 100 societies in college, covering a huge variety of interests.

Societies of specific interest to Business students are as follows:

Trinity Entrepreneurial Society - TES

Trinity Entrepreneurial Society is the primary business and careers-focused society on campus.  It promotes the skills and ambitions of its members and aims to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among students with a wide range of events and competitions including: a high-profile guest speakers' series, an internship evening, a share game, an enterprise competition and skills workshops.

Foresight

DUBES

Dublin University Business and Economics Society is one of the biggest societies in college and the biggest of the BESS faculty. The principal aim of DUBES remains the same as in 1930, to further the academic and social interests of our members.

AIESEC Global Exchange Programme

AIESEC gives Trinity students a chance to travel and to gain international work experience. 5000 placements are available in over 80 countries. The Programme targets primarily final years although a limited number of placements are available for the summer months.

Trinity Student Management Fund

Trinity Student Management Fund (Trinity SMF) was founded in November 2010 and is the first student managed fund in Ireland. The primary goal of the Fund is to create an unparalleled and self-sustaining educational resource for the educational development of future Trinity graduates within a secure governance structure, bestowing upon them experience in business analysis, investing and risk management.

Operating a real-life financial portfolio under the guidance of industry experts and past executives, Trinity SMF is a non-remunerated organisation managed by students, with a secondary mandate to invest in our community through donating a proportion of profits to some of the many worthwhile endeavours undertaken by Trinity College charities.

Enactus

Enactus are a social entrepreneurship society. They create projects that help to tackle issues such as homelessness, poverty and injustice. They are always on the lookout for new projects and are open to any ideas that members might have on solving social problems. One such project that Enactus created is an app called 'Keep Appy', that intends to tackle mental health issues amongst young people.
